Poly student takes GRAB to school, ends up on Woodlands Checkpoint instead

In a bizarre twist, a polytechnic student who took a GRAB ride to school has ended up in the motorcycle lane at Woodlands Checkpoint yesterday (Dec 5).

In a twitter post which has since gone viral, Lee Bo Xuan first called for a private car to take here to Republic Polytechnic.

She had initially thought that the driver was following the GPS route and assumed that he would be making a turn but he had failed to do so.

As a result, they ended up the motorcycle lane at the Woodlands Checkpoint.

There, people started to take photos of their car and the officers eventually opened the exit gate for them to leave after checking their ICs.

Her delay took her on a 2 hour detour.
